How to properly run a GeoGrid scan on a service area business

GeoGrid scans reference the address as the center point for google map profiles.  A service area business has no address visible to the public. This creates an issue that exists in all geo grid tools to date.  The way Local Viking looks to resolve this issue is: we look at the very center of the service area and look for your service area’s ranks.  This may or may not actually cover the address used to verify your GMB listing.

That GMB pin on the map is simply looking at the center of the service area as defined by Google.

Also, if you're using multiple service areas, we will choose one and point to the center.  This may or may not allow you to see your ranks properly. So how do you resolve this issue?

All GMB profiles rank strongest at their address used to verify the listing. For storefront listings, the address used to verify is the same. For service area businesses, the address used is hidden.  You must know the address used to verify the listing.  Or at the very least, a general idea of where the address used is located.

As you set up your GeoGrid, click the Sticky Grid button and move the GeoGrid over the location of the address used to verify the GMB listing.

Once done, run your GeoGrid scan.  If you have ranks for the keyword you're running a scan for, you will properly see those ranks displayed now.
